PLA 3D printing filaments are a new type of bio-based and biodegradable materials, which are made from starch raw materials proposed by renewable plant resources (such as corn, cassava, etc.). Polylactic acid is also known as polylactide. It is a polymer obtained by polymerizing lactic acid as the main raw material. The raw material source is sufficient and renewable. The production process of polylactic acid is pollution-free and biodegradable. It is an ideal green and environmentally friendly polymer material.
The following iSANMATE will teach you how to judge whether PLA 3D printing is good or bad. In the field of consumer and industrial 3D printers, PLA 3D printing filaments are the most widely used materials. Generally, the quality of PLA 3D printing filaments can be judged from the following four aspects:
First, the appearance
- After removing the sealing ring, check whether the filamentshas a color difference;
2. Check whether there are tiny air bubbles in the filaments;
3. Check whether the color of the filaments is uniform;
4. Whether the filaments has black or other color spots
Second, in terms of accuracy
1. For the hand feel test, pull out about 1M of filaments, gently clamp it with your thumb and index finger, and then stretch it slowly. If the filaments thickness is not uniform or the surface is not smooth, the material is not good.
2. Test with the instrument, use the digitally displayed vernier caliper to measure whether it is within the control tolerance range, the measurement method is within the length of about 1M, and test whether the tolerance of the filaments diameter is uniform.
Third, the printing process
1. Check the uniformity of the printing lines on the substrate (the first layer at the bottom of the platform). Generally, if the print is more uniform, the filament is more accurate.
2. Judging from the sound, in the device fed through the gear, the good filaments is basically silent; the filaments is uneven, and there will be a “beep” gear friction sound.
3. Check the uniformity of the internal structure of the filaments during the printing process, and whether there are air bubbles and spots in the process of discharging
